There are reports recently making the rounds that English Premier League giants Manchester United could be cashing in on their striker Anthony Martial next summer and even though they are to be confirmed yet, a lot of the Red Devils fans will be hoping that they are true. The France international striker has been displaced out of the starting XI since the arrival of Edinson Cavani some months ago and he has continued to find it very difficult to break back into the starting team. The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho this summer has also not helped matters and a large fraction of fans believe that his days at Old Trafford could already be numbered.

Martial has also not done enough to prove United manager Olé Gunnar Solksjaer that he can once again cement his place in the team and has not been able to grab the chances he has been given this season so far. After his cameo appearance against Newcastle United in the Red Devils impressive 4-1 win courtesy of a Cristiano Ronaldo brace and goals from Lingard and Bruno Fernandes, the former AS Monaco striker was brought on against Young Boys in their opening Champions League game of the season.

The match against the Swiss club ended in a 2-1 defeat and Martial was once again unimpressive. There was a poll made online asking whether or not the striker should be sold and most fans who took part in the vote demanded that United sell the striker next summer and a lot of others pleaded that he be allowed to leave the club during the January winter transfer window.

Martial could also be allowed to continue his career as Cavani is expected to leave the club once his one-tear contract runs out this summer.
