Premier League sides Manchester United are reportedly chasing Brazilian defender Lyanco.


The Sao Paulo star can player in the centre back or right back roles. The 20-year old is attracting serious buzz in the transfer market. European top clubs like Atletico Madrid, Juventus and United are keen on the youngster.

Lyanco has a Serbian passport, making him more attractive for European sides. Applications for a work permit would be faster and movements around Europe would be faster.

Sao Paulo wants to sell the player at £10 million – a fee that many might term modest, compared to his stats. Lyanco played for the youth team of Serbia before he switched his allegiance to the South American side. He lived in Brazil from Seven years so he could easily switch.

Lyanco has made 21 appearances for his club side this term, scoring one goal. He is tied to Sao Paulo until December 2018.

On the other hand, Bordeaux striker Malcom has said that he was not in talks with Premier League sides ahead of a possible move. The Brazilian joined Bordeaux from Corinthians for £5 million last year. He has scored six goals in 30 games for the Ligue 1 outfit.

After decent performances this year, Manchester United and Liverpool were linked to the 19-year old. Malcom has come out to deny the claims, saying his allegiance remains with the Ligue 1 side.

“This thing about Liverpool, Manchester – I don’t know anything about it. I’m very calm, I only think about Bordeaux today. I want to do my job well and give French fans lots of joy,” he said.

The player seems to fancy a move to the Serie A, saying that he heard Sampaoli [Coach of Sevilla] likes his style of football and might be interested. He said he would be happy if such an opportunity shows up but would remain humble as always if it doesn’t.
